Rajasthani Gatte ki Sabji
Gatte ki sabji is originated from Rajasthan. The Gatte are the gram flour dumplings which are put in the curd based gravy. Traditionally, they never add any vegetables on this sabji because Rajasthan is a state of the desert where there is always a shortage of vegetables. The scarcity of vegetables leads them to discover the mouth-watering cuisine which is so popular in all the other states also. Ingredients: For Gatte: 1 cup gram flour (besan) 1/2 tsp red chili powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder salt to taste 2 tsp curd (dahi) 1/2 tsp ajwain For Gravy: 2 tsp oil 1 tsp mustard seed 1 dried red chili 2 onions 2 green chilies 1 cup curd 1/2 tsp turmeric 1/2 tsp red chili powder salt to taste Method: In a bowl, add besan, spices, curd and make a thick dough. Roll gently into cylindrical shapes. Add these gattes to the boiling water. When it is cooked, gatte will expand and also appear on the surface of water. Take out the gatte and cut into small pie
